This is the second chapter of an epic three part series. Yes, epic.
Much like the first chapter, this video follows Mike Hopkins as his dream ride continues. In this chapter we traveled to Hawaii, Revelstoke, and Abraham Lake to capture surreal footage of Mike on his bike.
The concept behind this video (Mike literally stepping into a photograph) was conceived well sitting in a coffee shop staring at beautiful landscape photographs and wishing I could just climb through the frame and into that world. It turns out it takes a lot of pixel pushing to make that happen.
Scott Secco once again delivered magical aerial footage, and we were joined by cinematographers Jordan Manley and David Peacock to help bring the project to life.
This project has been extremely gratifying to be a part of. Diamondback has been an incredible partner. It has received widespread attention, picked up over a 1.5 million views, been honored as a Vimeo Staff pick, and shown in multiple film festivals.
What We Learned
It’s amazing what you can accomplish with a great team, and a trusting client. And a lot of hard work.
